Inventory reduction and increased customer service level for specialist engineering product manufacturer following acquisition by Private Equity house

This client is a global manufacturer of technical devices for supply to customers ranging from aerospace to radio manufacture. The programme emphasised both the improvement of customer service and the reduction of inventory at the same time. We increased the responsiveness of the manufacturing process using kanbanand similar techniques and adjusted the planning systems , simplifying them, matching them to more responsive kanbanapproaches and taking advantage of increased responsiveness to enable an inventory reduction of €50m as well as increasing customer service by two percentage points.
